Kayla Hall began our company with the hope of giving the professional skills she has acquired back to the Lord for Him to do with what He wants. She took time to pray about where God could use her in all of her interest areas, and the Lord found a way to combine them.
She has served in areas of music ministry, and has even written a song, Torchlight Parade, which the Lord used to inspire the vision and name for Torchlight Counseling Services. This song originated from her experience growing up in a funeral home, Ballard and Sons Funeral Home. A torchlight parade described a funeral procession in which people would walk through the streets with torches lit to lay their loved ones to rest in ancient times. The song describes the hope of Jesus, and the importance of knowing him before we pass away.
It is her view that God’s torch leads us through the dark pathway of the trials that we face, although this light can seem very dim at times. If we hang on and continue to move through the thick fog that overwhelms us, we may find the hope that so many are searching for. As John 1:5 says, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”
Growing up in a funeral home, Kayla saw the hurt that people experience. We always search for hope, whether we’re experiencing depression, financial strains, divorce, addiction, grief, anxiety, relationships, or the daily strains of life.
Our company believes that God has sent counselors into the world to come alongside those who need support and encouragement. These counselors were sent not to push people, but to empower, listen, and encourage others, and to use their professional skills to meet people right where they are in life.”
