Our Services

At Torchlight Counseling Services we strive to provide you with only the best counseling services that are personalized for your own unique journey. No matter what problems you are facing, we are always here to guide and support you.

Mental Health Counseling

If you are experiencing depression, addiction, trauma, anxiety, grief, or other challenges, we provide telmental health counseling. We provide services to elementary-aged children, teenagers, and adults. You can also turn to us if you are looking for divorce support options.

SASSI-5 (Substance Abuse Subtle Screening Inventory)

To provide a meaningful clinical insight for the treatment of substance abuse, we use the SASSI. It is a drug and alcohol assessment that determines a person’s probability of having a substance use disorder.

We combine this assessment with our client’s psychosocial information to find the best treatment and to provide recommendations. Our company has been praised by clients and other professionals because of our thorough reports.

Aftercare for Ballard and Sons Funeral Home

Ballard and Sons Funeral Home has contracted with our owner and consulting therapist, Kayla Hall NCC, LCAC, LMHC, to provide aftercare services to the families that they serve. Kayla is the daughter of Marty and Gina Ballard.

As a service to Ballard and Sons’ clients, Kayla will be checking in with them every few months through phone calls, cards, and letters. She will also keep families updated on grief support services that are offered by our company, Torchlight Counseling Services, throughout the year.

In addition, Kayla will provide 15 grief counseling sessions for free. All sessions will be used within the year of the loss. These services are specific to family members present during funeral arrangements at Ballard and Sons, and to Indiana families as per licensure requirements.

Mission Statement of Ballard and Sons Funeral Home After Care Services

“Our aftercare services answer the ’What Now?’ question that comes about after a funeral. A loved one has been laid to rest, and now there are financial, interpersonal, emotional, or other needs left to be dealt with as a result.

We are available to help families restructure, adjust, or attain a sense of normalcy in their life while honoring a loved one’s memory.

Our mission is to come alongside a family during their time of grief to provide support, encouragement, and services that promote overall health and healing during the grieving process.”

FIT Class (Families in Transition)

Families in Transition, a class for divorcing parents, is designed to help parents become aware of issues in which they may find themselves putting the children in the middle of their divorce. The class focuses on supporting parents in communication with their child's other parent, co-parenting, and how to support your children through the divorce process.  Call our office for more information.
